Amenagement moderne de tres bon gout, presque luxueux pour les prix demandes, chaque chambre disposant d'un petit coin-salon et d'un equipement pour prendre un repas. Un bon rapport qualite-prix au coeur de la vieille ville. Quelques escaliers a monter, a signaler, pour ceux qui ont un peu de mal a grimper. Sa situation centrale est idéale, un réseau de transport simple et efficace n’est qu’à deux minutes de là et il y a beaucoup d’animation autour de la place principale qui est juste à côté. Il y a des restaurants, des bars, des musées, etc. Nous avons partagé notre suite située à l’étage supérieur avec des amis. Elle est spacieuse et bien entretenue.
Le petit déjeuner est bon ; il y a du pain grillé, du fromage, du jambon, des fruits et autres. Il est très copieux et l’avantage est qu’il est servi jusqu’à midi.
Le personnel est très sympa et poli et il y a peu d’agitation !
Nous avons été ravis de pouvoir occuper notre chambre jusqu’en début de soirée, sans frais supplémentaires !!
La prochaine fois, nous reviendrons dans cet hôtel à coup sûr !
Il est juste d’indiquer qu’il y a beaucoup d’escaliers et pas d’ascenseurs pour les personnes qui sont moins mobiles !

Excellente situation. Personnel serviable et chaleureux.
Vraiment spacieux et décoré et meublé avec goût.
Bien aménagé. Même le petit salon est équipé d’un micro-ondes, d’un réfrigérateur et autres.
Très bon petit déjeuner.
Associé à un excellent restaurant.
Inconvénient quand on n’est pas très vif : les trois étages à monter. Mais, pour nous, même avec de lourdes valises, tous les avantages offerts par l’hôtel compensaient largement cet inconvénient.

We have just returned from a 5 day stay in this B&B. We booked an apartment with 2 rooms. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, fresh towels daily, comfortable beds and beautifully warm. There is a communal kitchen with washing machine, large fridge/freezer etc but also in your room there is a kettle, fridge, microwave and cutley etc.
The breakfast was continental and more than ample - there was toast, cheeses, ham, yoghurts, fruits, juices, tea and coffee and also 2 hot dishes each day - for example scrambled egg and sausages - all served in the beautiful cellars of the building.
The B&B is approximately 30 seconds flat walking from the very heart of Old Cracow.
The only thing I think I should mention is that ALL the accommodation is on the 3rd floor. The staircase is fine but there are alot of steps and would not suit anyone elderly or maybe those with babies to carry (unless you had very strong arms!).
We went there to visit Auschwitz, the Podgroze ghetto and where Schindler's List was filmed. It would be too much to go about here but if anyone has any questions please feel free to email me at donna.shipman@ntlworld.com and I would be happy to answer them if I can.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights this past week (February 2007). When we called to book a room, they didn't have any so they gave us an apartment for the same price. Be advised that there are 3 flights of stairs to get to the rooms/apartments. No problem for us but may be for others. Great location, just right off the main square, and you didn't feel like you were staying right off the main square as it was very quiet at night. We did have one small problem and that is my husband is 6'6 and the flat was just a little too short for him but I'm not sure if all the rooms or flats are like that, could've just been that one. The breakfast was just perfect. Two hot items daily, usually eggs and sausage and then cereals, breads and fruits and cheeses. Highly reccommended. My wife, myself and my two teenage children stayed at La Fontaine for three nights. We booked directly through the hotel at a rate of EUR 119 per night for a HUGE APARTMENT. I mean huge, you could fit 8 people in the 4 bedroom apartment. The location is perfect, I'd say about 10 metres from the main square and within walking distance from the main train station.
I would highly recommend this hotel to any family with children travelling to Krakow. As for the city of Krakow, excellent and very, very affordable. Well done La Fontaine and well done Krakow.

Disliked: too many steps I was fortunate enough to enjoy a stay at your lovely B&B last month for several days! It was just beautiful and our group really enjoyed staying there and will recommend your inn every chance we get.
Our favorite meal the entire stay was breakfast, especially your scrambled eggs. Is there any way you can share your egg recipe with me? They were the best we have ever eaten!
